Austal has recently christened the United States Naval Ship 'Fall River' (JHSV 4) at its USA-based subsidiary shipyard in Mobile, Alabama.

The USNS 'Fall River' is the fourth Spearhead-class Joint High Speed Vessels (JHSV) to be built by Austal under contract with the US Navy.

The vessel was delivered as part of an overall 10-ship contract, worth over US$1.6 billion.

The 103-metre catamaran was named 'Fall River' by Secretary of the Navy, Ray Mabus, after the tenth largest city in the state of Massachusetts.
