Tuco Marine launches new series of rescue craft

Valentine Watkins

Tuco Marine Group has developed a new series of vessels, known as the ProZero series, consisting of 16 boat models designed for harsh working environments.

The development of these vessels marks an ambitious push by Tuco into the rescue, daughter craft and commercial marine industry, with the company focusing on weight minimisation.

According to the company, the average weight savings of its craft numbers around 30 per cent across the search and rescue, military and government craft, and work boat sectors.

The work boats will also feature streamlined delivery times and customisation options, thanks in part to a modular construction process.

Additionally, the series' low weight will reduce fuel consumption and improve both CO2 and NOx emissions. The vessels will also have a longer operating range.

Standard vessels within the series range between 6.5 and 16 metres, with beams between 2.8 and 4.3 metres. The ProZero series has also been optimised for lifts with davits and other types of cranes.
