Bhavesh Gandhi, the Executive Vice-Chairman of India's Pipavav Shipyard, has said that the company has submitted bids for naval and coast guard vessels.
"We have already submitted bids for seven naval vessels of which five are offshore patrol vessels and two are cadet training ships," the Hindu Business Line quoted Mr Gandhi as saying.
Pipavav's orderbook currently stands at about US$920 million. It has 34 vessels on order, including twelve OSVs. Mr Gandhi said that a client was currently re-negotiating orders for eight out a series of 22 Panamax vessels.
