Irish customs agency to acquire two new patrol boats

Baird Maritime

The Revenue Commissioners service of the Irish government is set to issue a tender notice for the construction and delivery of two new coastal patrol vessels.

The new vessels will replace the agency's current fleet of two 50-tonne cutters that have been in operation since the early 2000s.

Each of the new patrol vessels will have accommodations for six crewmembers. Missions will include customs enforcement and counter-narcotics duties in territorial waters.
