The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) has commissioned the high-endurance aluminium lifeboat CCGS Baie de Plaisance into service.
The newbuild has an LOA of 19 metres, a beam of 6.3 metres, a crew of four, a cruising speed of 15 knots, and a maximum speed of 25 knots.
Baie de Plaisance will be assigned to the CCG's search and rescue station in Cap-aux-Meules on Quebec's Grindstone Island.
