South Korean HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) and Peruvian state-owned shipbuilder SIMA recently held a ceremony marking the start of construction of four new surface ships ordered by the Peruvian Navy.

The ceremony held on Friday, January 10, which also had Peruvian President Dina Boluarte as guest of honour, was for the start of the construction of a frigate, an offshore patrol vessel (OPV), and two landing craft.
