Finnish boat manufacturer Marine Alutech has recently delivered a custom-made Watercat 1200-series vessel to the German police force of Schleswig-Holstein.
Measuring 12.4 metres in length, with a beam of 3.4 metres and a 1.0-metre draught, the vessel and its sister are made especially for river conditions.
Operated by a crew of two, the vessel is equipped with two diesel engines and fixed-pitch propellers. With a cruising speed of 20 knots and a top speed exceeding 25 knots, the operating range is over 150 nautical miles in fully loaded conditions at cruising speed.
