The French colony of La Reunion has ordered a new Seaward Nelson 35 pilot boat from UK-based Seaward Marine.
The new boat will be classed under Lloyds SSC Rules and fitted out in compliance with the French Marine Marchande Regulations.
The Nelson 35 pilot vessel is adaptable for other workboat roles including police, customs and fishery patrol. The vessel is easy to manoeuvre and moors up when shorthanded.
The Reunion Island's Nelson 35 will be powered by twin 226kW Volvo D7 CTA engines giving a top speed of 20 knots. Delivery is due in December.
