A new quay crane at Tuas Port in Singapore tipped over while it was being delivered to a non-operational berth on Sunday, June 15.

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and local port operator PSA Singapore said in a joint media statement that the incident occurred at approximately 13:20 local time on Sunday and that there were no casualties.

Video footage of the immediate aftermath of the mishap shows the fallen crane along with clouds of dust that resulted from the collapse.

MPA assured that no damage has been assessed to adjacent port equipment and facilities.

All of PSA's current operational berths remain fully accessible, and all port operations and port development works remain unaffected.

The incident is under investigation. Both PSA and MPA said that they will work with relevant authorities regarding the incident.

Eleven of the berths at Tuas Port are operated by PSA. Acting Transport Minister Jeffrey Siow had earlier stated that another seven berths would become operational at the port by 2027.
