Travel Weekly has reported an investigation by the London Fire Brigade into a fire that sank an amphibious tourist vessel on the River Thames in London last week.
Citing the BBC, over 30 passengers (comprising tourists from the UK, Brazil, Russia, Australia and Sweden) had to be rescued from the Duck Tours vessel after it caught fire.
The accident marks another misfortune for amphibious tourist vessels, with a Yellow Duckmarine tour bus previously sinking in Liverpool and another reportedly sinking in March this year.
As many as 30 people had to be pulled from the water after the Duck Tours craft caught fire, continued Travel Weekly. All the passengers and crew were rescued by the emergency services and a passing tourist boat.
Following the accident, a Labour MP, Jim Fitzpatrick, called for London Duck Tours to have its licence revoked.
