Corsica Sardinia Ferries' new vessel, 'Mega Andrea' entered service on July 16, operating between Livorno and Golfo Aranci on the western coast of Italy.
The vessel, which can reach a top speed of 21 knots, arrived from Panama shortly before entering service. The vessel measures 171 metres in length and can accommodate 2,000 passengers, as well as 550 cars.
Previously known as the 'Silja Festival', the vessel has been moored in British Columbia since 2014. It served as a floating hotel for 600 construction workers after undergoing major renovations in Vancouver.
