China's Zhuhai Blue Shipping took delivery of a new fast aluminium tour boat from local company Aulong Shipbuilding on Monday, December 30.
Xinhaihang will be operated primarily out of Jiuzhou Port in mainland Guangdong province to the outlying islands of Changqin, Dong'ao and Guishan. It is also the seventh vessel to be built by Aulong Shipbuilding for the same owner.
The newbuild has an LOA of 32.4 metres, a beam of 7.2 metres, and a design speed of 25 knots. The interior spaces boast airline-style luxury seating while a gyrostabiliser helps maintain attitude for enhanced comfort even during fast transits.
The delivery of Xinhaihang occurred on the same day that Zhuhai Blue Shipping and Aulong Shipbuilding signed a contract for the construction and delivery of an all-electric sightseeing vessel for operation between Guangdong and Macau.
The completed vessel will have an LOA of approximately 50 metres, a beam of 13.5 metres, and seating for up to 398 passengers.
