The Indian Navy inducted a newbuild ferry into service on Monday, October 29.
The 250-passenger Mangal will be utilised for transfer of personnel and stores from ships at anchorage and Naval Station Karanja to the Mumbai Naval Dockyard.
Mangal has twin Cummins 1,043kW engines delivering a speed of 15 knots.
