Disney Cruise Line has taken possession of its newest ship 'Disney Fantasy', in readiness for her maiden voyage, set for March 31, from Port Canaveral, Florida.
'Disney Fantasy' is the second of a pair of newly designed Disney ships, following her sister ship 'Disney Dream', which was launched in early 2011. Both cruise ships are 339 metres in length, with 1,250 staterooms and suites, and capacity for 4,000 passengers.
With the addition of the two new ships, Disney Cruise Line is able to expand its itineraries, adding new homeports and new destinations. The 'Disney Fantasy' will sail seven-night alternating eastern and western Caribbean itineraries from Port Canaveral, where she will join 'Disney Dream', sailing three-, four- and five-night cruises to the Bahamas.
