BC ferries gears up for summer

British Columbia Ferry Services has announced that the 'Queen of Surrey' will resume service on the Horseshoe Bay–Langdale route as scheduled on July 29 following major engine repairs in May.

With the return of this major vessel, BC Ferries will implement the 5:50pm commuter sailing from Horseshoe Bay six days per week from July 29 through until September.

Now that the engine repair work is complete, BC Ferries is ramping up the summer schedule on both the Horseshoe Bay–Langdale as well as the Horseshoe Bay–Departure Bay routes.

Both the 'Queen of Surrey' and the 'Queen of Coquitlam' will be dedicated to the Langdale route, while the 'Coastal Renaissance', the'Queen of Oak Bay', and the 'Queen of Cowichan' will provide service between Departure Bay and Horseshoe Bay.
