Wärtsilä Ship Design (WSD) of Singapore has unveiled a platform supply vessel (PSV) design package aimed at shipowners and shipyards in the Asia-Pacific region.
The WSD PSV series consists of four vessel variants, the WSD 600, WSD 750, WSD 800 and WSD 1000 designs, each in the deadweight range of 3,000-5,200DWT and suited to particular shipowner requirements.
"The WSD PSV series designs can be customised to suit different operational requirements of the owner," commented WSD.
"The WSD PSV series, which was developed based on proven designs, is suitable for worldwide operational requirements, and optimised for the Asian shipbuilding process."
Building on proven Norwegian hull lines, the designs have been further developed for enhanced cargo capacity and flexibility, maximum fuel efficiency, reduced emissions and optimised building costs.
