Vroon's latest emergency response and rescue vessel (ERRV), 'VOS Famous' has been launched in China.
Currently under construction at Nanjing East Star Shipyard, the vessel is the fourth of a ten-vessel program.
Each of the vessels features an innovative wave-piercing bow shape specially designed for Vroon.
The 'VOS Famous' is scheduled for delivery to the company at the end of the year and will be operational in the North Sea region in 2015.
The vessel measures 50 metres in length overall, with a beam of 13.2 metres and a summer draught of 3.75 metres.
Home ported in Aberdeen, the vessel was built under survey to ABS and is powered by two 1,640kW engines driving controllable-pitch propellers.
On board, the 1,335GT vessel houses 66 seats and 26 bunks for survivors, and accommodates up to 22 crew across 15 crew cabins.
