Serica Energy has completed repairs and scheduled maintenance work at the Triton floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO). The company stated that the process to restart production operations is now underway.
Production is expected to commence shortly and ramp up as each field tied back to the FPSO is brought back onstream. Serica anticipates a stable production level will be reached during July. Prior to the shutdown, the Triton FPSO was delivering 25,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd) net to the company.
During the shutdown, two new wells were delivered, which have the potential to boost production. These are the W7z well on the Guillemot North West field and the EV02 well on the Evelyn field.
The completed work included extensive repairs to the inert gas system and maintenance on the firewater system. Topside modifications were also made in preparation for the tie-in of the Belinda field, which is expected to begin production in early 2026.
Moving forward, the company said the work done is expected to improve the FPSO's operational performance, and that there are no further planned outages for the remainder of the year.
