Tidal Transit christens newest windfarm support crewboat

UK-based offshore wind crew transfer provider Tidal Transit formally named its newest crewboat during a ceremony in Great Yarmouth on Friday, July 18.

Imogen Rose belongs to the same series of crewboats as Anthea Luna, which was handed over to Tidal Transit earlier this year.

The crewboat is currently providing essential service and maintenance support for the Equinor-operated Sherringham Shoal 317MW offshore wind farm in UK waters off Norfolk. The vessel is being operated under charter to the Stowen Group in supporting activities at the project site.

"Imogen Rose has been constantly busy since delivery earlier in the year, so we’re delighted to have been finally able give her the belated christening she deserves," Leo Hambro, Commercial Director of Tidal Transit, commented.

As with sister Anthea Luna, the new crewboat's hull design and onboard systems ensure that she can be retrofitted with an electric propulsion system in the future in line with end user requirements for low-emissions-capable vessels.
