Singapore: Sembcorp Marine's subsidiary PPL Shipyard has successfully delivered the 'Aquamarine Driller', the third ultra-premium high-specification jack-up rig ordered by US-based Vantage Drilling Company.
The jack-up rig is built based on PPL's proprietary Pacific Class 375 design.
The Pacific Class 375 jack-up rig is an independent leg, cantilever jack-up with a drilling depth of 9,145 metres and is capable of operating in water depth up to 114 metres.
Prior to 'Aquamarine Driller', PPL had earlier delivered two rigs which are currently working in Thailand and West Africa.
PPL Shipyard is expected to deliver the fourth rig to Vantage Drilling in the fourth quarter of 2009.
