Integrated Wind Solutions (IWS), through subsidiary IWS Fleet, has taken delivery of its fifth commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV) IWS Moonwalker from the China Merchants Industry Holdings shipyard. The vessel was delivered at its original yard price of approximately €52.5 million and is currently en route to Europe.
The IWS Moonwalker is the fifth in a series of six identical sister vessels purpose-built to provide services to offshore wind farms. The final vessel in the series is also scheduled for delivery in 2025.
The company has secured a 200-day fixed charter contract, plus options, with an unnamed existing client for the vessel. The charter will commence in September 2025 upon the vessel's arrival in Europe.
Christopher Andersen Heidenreich, COO of IWS Fleet, stated that this is the fifth consecutive vessel in the series to secure a charter contract before arriving in Europe. He said the company views the new contract as confirmation of the "performance and reliability" of its new CSOV class.
