Norwegian shipbuilder Fjellstrand has earlier this year delivered a multi-purpose offshore vessel for Seabed.
In service since May, the 'Seabed Worker' measures 91.6 metres in length, 16 metres at the beam and is capable of a speed of 15 knots.
The vessel is fitted with two Voith Schneider Propellers (VSP) of 32R5 ECR/265-2 type, arranged in the stern of the vessel and driven by two electric motors rated at 2,500kW.
Another feature of the 'Seabed Worker' is its Voith roll stabilisation (VRS) which reduces the rolling motions of the vessel during bad weather. This results in high on-board comfort and improved work safety on deck. The vessel is also fitted with a dynamic positioning system (DP2). It meets high demands on crew comfort and also on environmental protection.
The vessel has an on-board high-performance 50-tonne crane in the stern area. A moonpool in the middle of the ship allows ROV diving robots to be released into the water.
