Subsea 7 announced that it has secured a contract from LLOG Exploration Company, a subsidiary of Harbour Energy, for the Who Dat East development in the US gulf.
According to the contractor, the contract is valued between $50 million and $150 million.
Located within lease MC 509-1, the offshore project lies at a water depth of approximately 1,300 metres.
The scope of work covers the fabrication, transportation and installation of a 29-kilometre steel catenary riser and pipe-in-pipe to the Who Dat floating production system, as well as umbilical and subsea controls.
Project management and engineering will commence immediately at the Houston office in Texas.
In its release, the firm noted that offshore operations are expected to begin in 2028.
Commenting on the agreement, Craig Broussard, Senior Vice President for Subsea7 US, cited longstanding ties between the two companies.
He added that the company intends to continue its collaboration and support ongoing development work across the region.
