Norway's Solstad Maritime has secured a two-year contract with Brazilian oil company Petrobras for the construction service vessel Normand Valiant.
The company stated that operations are expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026 in direct continuation of the current agreement and subsequent class renewal.
Supporting production activities on the Brazilian continental shelf, the vessel is equipped with a walk-to-work gangway system and can accommodate up to 120 personnel onboard.
The gross value of the charter is approximately $62 million.
Under the terms of the deal, the vessel will operate on a bareboat contract from Solstad Maritime to Solstad Offshore, which serves as the contract holder with Petrobras.
Built in 2008, the 3,111 DWT Normand Valiant measures 78 metres in length and 20.4 metres in breadth, featuring a cargo deck area of 681 square metres.
The vessel is equipped with a DP2 dynamic positioning system as well as a moonpool measuring 25 square metres.
