Norwegian offshore services company CoreMarine has acquired Brazilian offshore construction specialist BravOcean, expanding its presence in Brazil’s deepwater subsea market.
BravOcean provides subsea installation support, project management services and specialist personnel for complex deepwater projects involving subsea production systems, umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF).
CoreMarine said the acquisition would broaden its service offering and combine its offshore expertise with BravOcean’s local project delivery capabilities. Brazil remains a key market in the company’s long-term growth strategy.
CoreMarine CEO Ben Fitzgerald said the deal followed a relationship with BravOcean built over several years and marked a new phase for CoreMarine in Brazil.
“Combining our complementary expertise with BravOcean enables us to deliver greater value and local competence to the booming Brazilian subsea market,” Fitzgerald said.
