Croatia's Uljanik Shipyard launched hull number 481 'Zheng He' on January 30 from slipway number 2.
The vessel is the second of four self-propelled cutter suction dredgers under construction at the Uljanik Shipyard for Luxembourg-based company, Dredging and Maritime Management, a member of the Jan de Nul Group.
Three-year old Karolina Berghman, daughter of Kris Berghman, the owner's supervising office leader at Uljanik, conducted the customary cutting of the rope, letting the ship into the sea.
The vessel has a length of 138.5 metres, a beam of 26 metres and a depth of up to 12 metres. The 2,200DWT vessel has three main MAN B&W propulsion engines, producing 7,200kW at 500rpm, enabling the vessel to develop a speed of 13 knots.
