Singapore is hoping to get a subsea power cables framework endorsed by ASEAN next year when it chairs the 11-member Southeast Asian grouping, a minister said on Monday.
"We hope to get the entire framework made up of various pillars supported," Gan Siow Huang, minister of state at Singapore's foreign ministry and trade ministry, said at an energy forum in Bangkok.
"That will be a crucial piece for us to provide governance and local clarity," the minister said.
