Royal IHC has conducted simultaneous keel-laying ceremonies in Uruguay and the Netherlands for its new trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD).
The 4.200-cubic-metre D11 21 De Julio, which was ordered by the Administracion Nacional de Puertos (ANP) is being built in both countries.
Royal IHC signed a contract for the design, construction and delivery of the 91-metre-long TSHD with ANP in November 2016.
