A $9,387,750 contract has been awarded to Manson Construction by the US Army Corps of Engineers for dredging maintenance at the Brazos Island Harbor entrance and jetty channel in Port Isabel, Texas.
The firm-fixed-price award was posted on Monday, September 14. The Seattle-based contractor is scheduled to complete the work by March 31, 2027.
The Corps’ Galveston District is the contracting activity for the project, designated W912HY-26-C-A029. Bids were solicited online and three contractors responded.
According to the US Department of Wat contract notice, the full contract value was obligated at award from fiscal 2026 civil construction funds.
The project covers maintenance dredging in two parts of the Brazos Island Harbor navigation system: the harbor entrance and the jetty channel. The Corps’ Galveston District maintains navigation and hydrographic survey information for Brazos Island Harbor.
The award notice did not identify the volume of material to be removed, the required channel dimensions, the disposal or placement area, or the dredging equipment to be used. It also did not provide a mobilization date or interim construction milestones.
Manson Construction performs marine construction and dredging work from offices on the US East, Gulf and West coasts. Under the firm-fixed-price structure, the announced $9,387,750 price is set for the specified contract scope, regardless of the contractor’s incurred costs.
