Autoship announces latest Autohydro installations

CAD/CAM design firm Autoship Systems Corporation (ASC) has announced several new users of its Autohydro hydrostatics and stability software program during the first quarter of 2014.

Companies that have recently partnered with ASC include United Arab Emirates-based Navispec Marine Services, USA-based 3Dent Technology, Malaysia-based Green Palm Offshore, UK-based Shiptech, Japan-based Technos and Canada-based Lengkeek Vessel Engineering.

According to ASC, Autohydro combines leading new design software development and extensive user technical support. Features include a best-in-class graphical user interface (GUI), and ongoing functionality upgrades such as the integration of "Intermediate stages of flooding based on SOLAS 2009 Probabilistic Rules".

Autohydro is a key part of ASC's Autoship System suite of integrated CAD/CAM programs – a full design package which can be utilised from a design's hull lines right through to the NC cut files. Autohydro's companion program is Autoload, continued ASC, a program which offers a "real-time" stability solution for ship and offshore platform operations.

Other programs within the suite include: Autopower, a resistance and power prediction program; Autrostructure, for vessel structure modelling; and Autoplate, which automates calculations required for developable and non-developable plat expansions.
