From Monday, March 8, internationally renowned maritime simulator company Kongsberg Maritime, of Norway, in collaboration with AMC, will hold a three-day simulations users conference at the Australian Maritime College for more than 45 simulator users in the Asia Pacific region as well as Europe.
Guests will include the Royal Norwegian Ambassador Siren Gjerme Eriksen, representatives from the Royal New Zealand Navy, Royal Australian Navy, various defence organisations, industry leaders, colleges and universities.
As well as the conference, delegates will experience some of the fine produce that northern Tasmania has to offer.
"This conference will bring international stakeholders in the multi-billion dollar simulation industry to Australia's premier Centre for Maritime Simulations at the Australian Maritime College," said centre manager, Captain Ian Rodrigues. "It will also showcase AMC and the northern Tasmania area."
The theme for this year's conference is ,"Explore the Simulation Possibilities" with the aim of sharing new ideas and enhancing the collective knowledge of the international simulation community.
