Certification body DNV has received accreditation in South Korea to deliver type and project certification of wind turbines and wind farms.
Due to the accreditation from the Dutch Accreditation Council, DNV now has official approval to handle all aspects of the certification work using its local wind experts. This provides a number of advantages to South Korean and Asian manufacturers.
DNV's team in South Korea is accreted to handle type and project certification in accordance with IEC 61400-22 and DNV-OS-J101 standards. According to DNV, this new certification practice will result in a convenient and more cost-effective process for South Korean and Asian manufacturers to achieve certification for their wind turbine and wind farm projects.
