In addition to its own programme of aluminium boat windows and windscreens, Vetus of Schiedam, the Netherlands, has recently purchased the Dutch window manufacturer Marex.
Vetus Marex boat windows have the following characteristics:
– Each window is custom made to the dimensions or template supplied by the customer.
– Window types available: sliding , half-drop, hinged or combi windows
– Glass type available: toughened, single or double glazed. Glass can be clear or tinted.
– Corner types available: rounded with a choice of radii or with mitred corners.
– Mitred corners are soldered wherever possible, otherwise screwed together.
– All aluminium frames are hand polished before applying the surface finish.
– Frame finishes available: anodised clear, black or gold or powder coated in any colour
– Each window is supplied complete with sealing and fastening materials.
– As an option, sliding and half-drop type windows may be provided with a mosquito screen.
– All windows are manufactured in accordance with CE-directives and a certificate of conformity is supplied with each individual window.
Four versions are available and notably the exclusive range combines an ingenious design with sophisticated styling. The inner and outer halves of the aluminium frames are joined using a thermal insulation bridge which prevents conductivity of cold and the subsequent formation of condensation on the inside.
