Solar Solve Marine offers an extensive array of roller blinds for ships windows.
Traditionally, the UK-based company is well known for manufacturing Solasolv anti-glare, heat rejecting sunscreens for navigation bridge windows. However, in recent years Solar Solve has designed and developed the Rolasolv range of flame-retardant fabric roller blinds and blackout blinds for accommodation area windows which comply with the mandatory IMO FTPC Part 7 A.563(14) resolution.
Type approved by DNV the Rolasolv range comes in a wide range of operating systems and fabric options to suit almost all installation situations and interior decors.
Solar Solve has also recently developed an integrated curtain track system so curtains can be used in conjunction with the company's cassette blind systems so passengers and crew have a choice of window coverings to suit their requirements.
All Solar Solve's products are easy to use and simple to install and can be installed by the ships' crew whilst at sea, in dry dock or at the newbuild stage.
Solar Solve's Solasolv range of sunscreens for ships' navigation bridge windows can help to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. When used at all of the windows, a university study showed that a saving of between 23 percent and 30 percent can be expected in the load of the navigation bridge air conditioning unit, depending on the type of solar film used in the construction of the screen. This reduction translates directly to fuel and cash savings.
Solar Solve also offers adhesive window film for cabin windows which provides very similar protection to the company's Solasolv sunscreens resulting in additional fuel and cash.
