Transas Marine receives two prestigious orders for vessel traffic management systems in Malaysia
Transas Marine Pacific, in co-operation with its partner KASI Malaysia, has been awarded two contracts for installation of vessel traffic management systems in Tawau Port and Kimanis Bay Terminal.
With these orders, Transas continues its growth in the Malaysian market. Implementation of the projects will be carried out in close co-operation with Transas' strategic partner KASI, an integrated marine solutions provider.
Scope of supply includes a Transas Navi-Harbour VTS software package, two 19ft radars, two Transas AIS base stations, two Transas CCTV units, two VHF direction finders, two standalone playback workplaces and six operator workplaces.
Together with KASI, Transas carried out a series of successful projects and initiatives including installation of vessel traffic management systems in Sapangar Bay container terminal, Sandakan and Lahad Datu ports.
Captain Walter Nair, managing director of KASI, happily reaffirmed the long term commitment between KASI and Transas in the developing shore-based sytems industry throughout ports of Malaysia.
