Norway-based Noreq has won a contract to supply a complete package of lifeboats, rescue boats and davit systems to Dubai Maritime City's new safety training centre.
Noreq will deliver all equipment in October 2009.
"Emirates International Maritime Academy a created with a vision to provide world class training related to the marine industry, focusing on the marine safety," said Captain Abdulla Al Hayyas, Senior Manager, Dubai Maritime City Campus & Emirates International Maritime Academy.
"Our curriculum provide an in-depth scope of study in the marine related topics and our training centres will be equipped with equipment that meets quality standards."
