Palfinger Marine has complemented its deck equipment portfolio with a new subsidiary company focusing on the design and construction of daughter craft.
Known as Palfinger Boats, the subsidiary offers a range of stowable fast rescue boats, work boats and life boats deployable by its parent company's deck equipment. Designed and manufactured in the Netherlands, the craft are built in both FRP and aluminium.
Matthijs van der Ham, managing director Palfinger Boats, said the integration of Palfinger Boats into the Palfinger Marine group allows the company to offer a complete deck equipment package.
Recently, the company won an order for ten daughter craft (including launch/recovery davits) to four United Kingdom-based emergency response and rescue vessels.
Palfinger's daughter craft are completely enclosed and are suitable for most commercial marine and offshore applications.
Manufactured in-house, the vessels comply with all European and United States standards, with 90 per cent of the range exported through a worldwide network.
