Norway: New trawler delivered

Norway: Kjaersgaard Hirtshals took delivery of newbuilding 406 from Karstensen Shipyard in Skagen on May 8.

The new vessel replaces the owner's previous vessels 'Tobis', 'Galeota' and 'Pion'.

The owners have purchased a number of other vessels in order to give quota to the new vessel.

The new vessel has an overall length of 39.95 metres, a moulded beam of ten metres and a depth to main deck of 4.1 metres.

Designed by Karstensens Skibsværft, the vessel achieved a speed of 11.7 knots during trials.

Driven by an ABC 6 DZC engine, the vessel produces 721kw at 750rpm.
