From Baird Maritime
Your reviewer recalls the first edition of this fine book as one that corrected a few of his misconceptions about the prolific sea life of the western coast of North America.
It's a rich area with a huge variety of cold-water fish. Obviously, photographing these fish in the generally icy and often dark waters of the area is no mean feat.
That is why this book is particularly valuable. One of the authors, Phil Edgell, has done an astonishing job of clearly photographing every one of the more than 250 species that are listed.
Those fish are also clearly and concisely described and, in many cases also very nicely drawn.
