Australia: If the International Energy Agency’s predictions for the next 25 years are correct, Australia’s oil and gas industry seems set for very strong growth.
The IEA has predicted enormous Chinese led demand for energy, which for all practical purposes will involve oil, natural gas and coal. Australia, obviously, has substantial reserves of the latter two. “The inevitable consequence of all those energy exports will be a massive expansion of Australia’s maritime industry,” said AUSMARINE exhibition organiser Kishore Navani. “Offshore oil and gas exploration and development will combine with massive new port construction projects that will require innumerable additional work boats and ships. “This is why so many leading maritime industry people have already pre-registered for AUSMARINE 2010, Australia’s only commercially focused marine exhibition,” said Mr Navani. AUSMARINE opens for business at 9:45am on Tuesday, November 23 at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre.
