By Rod Heikell From Baird Maritime: Perhaps the current economic problems in Greece can be partially blamed on the distractions afforded by its islands and coasts. It is difficult to work and be practical in such attractive surroundings. This magnificent cruising area is well and enticingly described in yet another of the brilliant Mediterranean “Pilots” produced by the renowned Rod Heikell. This particular pilot is a kind of specific supplementary “pocket” version of part of the author’s “Greek Waters Pilot” which is a masterpiece. Being briefer does not make it inadequate, just easier to lug around. All the important and inspiring bits are still there. Your reviewer, who has used many of the Heikell pilots in action, can vouch very enthusiastically for their accuracy and usefulness in pilotage. For the armchair sailor, as well, they make for very sweet dreams and very easy voyage planning. Ordering Information: |
