France: Bourbon’s dry bulk subsidiary, Setaf Saget, is facing delivery delays for four Panamax bulk carriers from India’s Pipavav Shipyard. The vessels were ordered from Pipavav alongside a series of ten Supramaxes from Sinopacific Shipbuilding, China.

Bourbon Director Christ Roqueblave said that the Supramax deliveries were going to schedule however none of the Panamaxes had been delivered. “We ordered four panamaxes from Pipavav but the shipyards is not able to deliver them. So we are in discussions with the yard to find a solution,” Asiasis quoted Ms Roqueblave as saying. Three Supramaxes were delivered, including the newest recently delivered ‘Molitor’. Seven more Supramaxes are expected within the next two years. The Panamaxes and Supramaxes were all ordered as part of the company’s five-year expansion plan. |
