Louis Dreyfus offers to help CMA CGM PDF Print E-mail

The Louis Dreyfus commodities group and its former shipping subsidiary, Louis Dreyfus Armateurs, are reportedly interested in establishing a long-term partnership with cash-strapped family-owned French container line, CMA CGM.

According to Asiasis, these are the only two parties that have so far made a concrete offer to help CMA CGM out of its US$1.6 billion debt.

According to the report, the project will only become active if CMA CGM succeeds in reach a debt restructuring agreement with its banks.
